Sliding Rail for Straight Stairlifts

Our straight stairlifts are equipped with the option of a Sliding Rail, perfect for navigating open hallways or doorways at the bottom of the stairs. The Sliding Rail is powered and moves automatically with the stairlift, keeping the bottom of your staircase clear and obstruction-free. This feature enhances safety, preventing tripping hazards and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted movement up and down the stairs.

Manual/Powered Hinge for Straight Stairlifts

For homes with limited space, our straight stairlifts offer the Manual Hinge option. This budget-friendly solution allows the stairlift rail to fold easily out of the way, clearing the hallway and reducing any tripping hazards when the stairlift is parked. The Powered Hinge uses a battery powered mechanism, ensuring effortless folding and unfolding of the rail, making it a convenient and space-saving solution.

How and when do I pay for my stairlift?
We ask for a small non-refundable deposit of £150 upon ordering. This can be paid by BACS, cheque or a debit/credit cards. The balance is then payable once we’ve completed the installation and you have your lift in perfect working order.
Can stairlifts go around corners?
Absolutely! Stairlifts can go around corners. Curved stairlifts are used when your staircase is constructed with one or more bends. Curved tracks can be used and fitted bespoke to your staircase, no matter how many corners there are!

Curved stairlifts can be fitted new or reconditioned, and they’re available to both purchase and as a rental. Even more complex staircases can be tackled. For example, with spiral staircases we use a ‘freecurve’ staircase to effortlessly moved along the constantly bending track. If you still have questions you can visit the page linked above or give us a call today to learn more.

What do I do when I need a new carpet?
If you’re planning on fitting a new carpet and stairlift, do the carpet first. If that’s not possible, we can remove and then reinstall your stairlift, but there will be a charge.
How long will I have to wait for my stairlift?
We can usually install your stairlift within days, and often within 24 hours of ordering.
