How Stairlifts Can Help with Surgery Recovery
Throughout our lives, many of us will experience health problems that will require us to have surgery to try to rectify them or at least make it easier to live with.
The most common of these, especially as we get older are knee and hip replacements, but there’s plenty of others that affect all ages such as a broken leg, torn ligaments, or a chronic disease such as arthritis.
If you’re recovering from surgery or have surgery scheduled in the coming months, we may well be able to help you!
Our Stairlift Rental scheme is designed specifically to support you at these times, when getting up and down stairs can not only be a severe challenge but painful as well. It also helps maintain your independent living and you won’t need to lean on family members as much, during your recovery.
Over the past 30 years, we’ve installed thousands of stairlifts all over the North of England, for people needing them just for a few weeks or months to get them through these periods and help them get up to bed easily and more importantly safely, as during these recovery periods, the risk of trips and falls increase massively following surgery, as you are not your usual self.
We appreciate some choose to live on the ground floor but accept this isn’t a practical option for everyone. It’s not uncommon for clients of ours to find themselves stuck up or downstairs prior to us installing the stairlift.
It’s essential you consider your safety when recovering, to avoid any complications and to decrease the possibility of another visit to the hospital.
So, putting it simply, Stairlifts make your home safer and life that little bit easier for you.
Renting a stairlift
If you’re only going to need help getting up the stairs for a short period of time, you don’t need to buy a stairlift. You can simply rent one for as long as you need which will be installed quickly and removed when you no longer require it.
There aren’t many companies that offer a rental on curved stairlifts, but we specialise in this.
Leodis have been installing high-quality stair lifts for over 30 years. Our dedicated team of surveyors and expert engineers will always respond to enquiries quickly, as we understand the urgency of having such a solution in place, no matter how long you need it, short or long term.
