How and when do I pay for my stairlift?
We’re one of few stairlift companies that won’t ask for a deposit. In fact, we won’t ask for a penny until work is completed. Once we’ve finished, your stairlift is in perfect working order, you feel confident using it, and we have tidied up afterwards, you can pay by cheque, debit or credit card. Please note, there is a small administration fee if want to use a credit card.
What happens if I no longer need my stairlift?
Not every stairlift we install will be required forever. But as long term injuries heal, or long awaited operations happen, you may find not every stairlift company wants to get involved in removing your stairlift. They just want to install them.
At Leodis, we offer a complete package from installation to removal. We may even buy back your stairlift. We can’t promise that will always happen, and it will depend on a number of factors including:
• Make and model of stairlift
• The age of your stairlift
• Whether it was bought new or reconditioned
• Our current stock levels
Even if we don’t buy back your stairlift, we will be able to remove it for a small fee, and even put you in contact with someone who may be interested in taking it.
What do I do when I need a new carpet?
Do you only sell new stairlifts?
No! We supply and install new and reconditioned straight and curved stairlifts. All our reconditioned models are recent models and come with full service and warranty support. They are usually available for next day delivery too.
As your independent, impartial stairlift specialists we can advise and install the product that best suits your specific requirements – call us to discuss your options.
How do I keep my stairlift charged?
Each stairlift is battery operated and most re-charge when left on a charge point at either end of the track. If you get off your stairlift before it has reached the charge point your stairlift will beep at you. Always keep your stairlift charged – if the batteries go flat they may need to be replaced.
In the case of some of our stairlifts, the whole track is a charge point, so you needn’t worry about running the chair right to the end of the track.
What happens if there is a power cut?
Will I fall off my stairlift?
What happens if something is blocking the way?
How can I stop children using my stairlift?
Will my stairlift be attached to the wall?
How long will it take to install my stairlift?
Our expert, friendly engineer will install a straight stairlift in around 2-3 hours. Curved stairlifts take a little longer, but we should still be done and tidied within 4-5 hours.
Once the installation is complete, your Leodis engineer will clear away any packaging, and leave your stairway clean and tidy. He will then show you how to operate your stairlift, let you try it out, and answer any queries you may have. Only when you are satisfied do you pay.
