You need a stairlift, and you’re tempted by the cost saving you could make, but only if you can get satisfactory answers to your other queries…
• Won’t a reconditioned stairlift have been designed for someone else’s home?
Yes. But that doesn’t present the problems you think it might. That’s because the reconditioned stairlifts we supply all use a modular track system which means that whilst they are designed to fit every individual stairway, they can be deconstructed and reconfigured to fit any other stairway too.
• Will I have a limited choice of stairlift if I opt for reconditioned?
Well, that depends on your stairlift provider. If they don’t carry a healthy range of reconditioned models then yes, that could be a problem. As a specialist in reconditioned stairlifts, though, that doesn’t present a problem at Leodis, where our choice of reconditioned models is (almost) as wide as our brand new stairlifts.
You can find out more about choosing the right stairlift for you here.
• Will I have to settle for an older model?
Absolutely not. It’s important that every reconditioned stairlift we supply has years of reliability left in it. Partly that’s because we want you to have faith in your stairlift. But it’s also because it simply doesn’t make sense for us to supply a stairlift that needs servicing and repairing every week. That’s why every reconditioned stairlift we supply is a recent, reliable model.
• Is the warranty shorter with a reconditioned stairlift?
Not necessarily. It depends on the supplier and the stairlift, but at Leodis our curved reconditioned stairlifts, for example, have exactly the same warranty as our brand new models. Find out more about our warranties and after sales service here.
• Do I get a limited service if I buy reconditioned?
Not at Leodis. Buy new and you’ll get 24/7 support, next day callouts and (often) next day installation as standard. Buy reconditioned and you’ll get exactly the same.
